About us

European Environmental Markets (EEM) supports corporate sustainability strategies with advice on, and access to, climate and development projects worldwide. EEM is active in a range of environmental markets including: emissions; biomass; renewable energy certificates; climate, development and WASH (water access, sanitation & health) projects. Through our network of technical experts, we provide footprinting and reporting services and deliver bespoke project development.

Our goal is to maximise the effectiveness and commercial viability of business action on climate and development, whether this is driven by corporate sustainability strategy; maximizing the benefit of incentives for low carbon energy or the procurement of environmental commodities for regulatory compliance.

The role

  • The individual will be responsible for developing commercial relationships with a range of corporate clients to understand their sustainability strategy and how EEM can help them achieve these goals
  • Promoting and selling the benefits of climate action including carbon offsetting as a highly effective solution for achieving sustainability targets, whilst supporting wider social and environmental impacts in vulnerable and low income communities
  • Drafting bespoke presentations articulating sustainability solutions and their link to business strategy and commercial outcomes for clients
  • Develop and maintain a regular pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Representing EEM at industry events

The person

  • Proven business to business and/or solution sales experience is essential
  • Experience and understanding of the carbon markets
  • Comfortable and capable in front of senior decision makers
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • A positive, can do attitude
  • Willing and eager to take on responsibility
  • Preferably a developed network in the sustainability field
